ACRYLAMIDE

Acrylamide was first detected in certain foods in April 2002. Acrylamide is a chemical that can form in some foods during high-temperature cooking processes, such as frying, roasting, and baking. Acrylamide in food forms from sugars and an amino acid that are naturally present in food. Acrylamide has been previously shown to cause several types of cancer in animals. In 2015, the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) publishes its first full risk assessment of acrylamide in food, which experts conclude potentially increases the risk of developing cancer for consumers in all age groups.
Can acrylamide be avoided ? The answer is “YES” in MorrisCookies Baking Solution.
